Moraine Lake in Banff National Park
Our recent road trip through the Canadian Rockies took us to one of the most spectacular landscapes in Canada – Moraine Lake in Banff National Park, Alberta.
The turquoise glacier lake sits in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, about 15 km outside the mountain village of Lake Louise in Banff National Park. There is no better way to experience the fairy-tale lake than paddling around it in traditional canoe. How very Canadian of us, Eh!
We’ve created a short video clip that does a great job illustrating the jaw dropping views.

Amazing color of the water. I am going canoeing in Quetico Provincial Park in Canada next week and the water color there is beautiful too, but a much darker almost navy blue color. Fairy-tale color is a good description.
