Come on now. You know the real reason Cappadocia left you speechless. Don’t be intimidated, Cam. They’re just rocks.
haha… you got me! It’s funny, one of the areas is actually called “Love Valley”
What a fantastic video. What camera did you use? How do you get to be so stable? I did a few videos on my last trip and they are all jumpy cause I can’t hold the camera still while moving it.
Just got the new Canon T2i. Great HD video feature (main reason for the purchase). Didn’t use anything, just went very slow and rested my elbow on the side of the balloon basket.
Gorgeous view! I so envy you right now…
It was pretty spectacular!
Looks amazing. I’ve always wanted to visit Cappadocia.
It’s one of those places that I had heard about, but never knew much about until I arrived. It totally blew my mind! This video does a good job, but still comes up well short of illustrating how amazing it is
I love Cappodocia — I think it’s one of the most amazing places in the world. I didn’t take a hot air balloon ride, though. Oh well, just one more reason to go back!
The balloon trip was definitely a highlight, though hiking and viewpoints do the trick too!
I loved the video, one of the best I’ve seen from Cappadocia.
Thanks Anil! Coming from you, that means a lot (I’m sure you’ve seen many)
Wow amazed at the stability, would love to go in an air balloon over any city but need one that fits in my budget!.
Thanks Ayngelina. It’s not the cheapest way to see Cappadocia, but it’s worth every penny. I couldn’t have picked a better place to experience floating for the first time!
We took a balloon ride in Goreme in October and loved it. Nice shots of the beautiful landscape!
Thanks Kim! It was an unforgettable experience for sure
Wow, amazing video. Well done. Turkey and Cappadocia continue to remain at the very top of our wish list of destinations. Can’t wait to make it to this region at some point in the future. We have been looking at new cameras, and Canon T2i is one that we have been looking at. This makes it even more appealing.
Thanks Adam – we’re liking the Canon. It’s a great tool, I just need to figure out how to use it!
Wow! Such a great experience you had. Thanks for the video. It’s amazing.
Thanks Catht – glad you liked it!
such an awesome video, thanks for posting it for our enjoyment!
Cheers Matt!
The video is stunning. I thought the first shot of the mountain top was a small mound on the ground and then you guys flew over it… amazing! Its totally something I want to do!
That first shot was pretty scary – the pilot brought the balloon within a few meters of the rocks – pretty intense! It was a lot of fun, highly recommend it!
I envy you! I wanted to go too but the fligh was cancelled due to bad weather. At least I can fly vicariously.
Oh no! ;-( I hate when weather ruins the plans. Although, even just wandering through Cappadocia is an incredible experience on its own. It’s unlike any other place I’ve ever visited – a true original!
That hot air balloon ride looks really cool, and the scenery is impressive. Hope I could do that sometime in the future.
It was my first time ever in a hot air balloon. I’m not big on heights but it was actually very comfortable floating up and down. Definitely worth doing at least once in your life!
Great video! Thanks for sharing! Good luck on your future travels. What an adventure!
I’ve heard that hot air balloon is popular there, but I had no idea that there are so many of it on the sky at the same time!
I wonder if the balloon traffic can get quite bad and they crash to each other
Joking aside, this is one of dream destination!
It really is, isn’t it?
Not to take anything away from the beautiful landscapes, but part of the attraction is witnessing all of the other colourful balloons floating around. It’s quite the sight!
