Brilliant orange sky over Udaipur City Palace in Rajasthan, India
Udaipur is one of Rajasthan’s finest cities, boasting beautiful lakes and lush mountains, not what you’d typically expect from the desert region of Northwest India.
Udaipur has gained international fame for its floating Taj Lake Palace, a stunning marble hotel located in the middle of Lake Pichola (you cannot see the floating hotel in this photo; it is further to the right). Those that visit the area are quickly reminded that it is also the location where several scenes were shot for the movie Octopussy, the legendary James Bond film from the early 1980′s.
This photo is of the bathing ghats (to the left) and Udaipur City Palace Complex, the magnificent building on the hilltop. The dense buildings, palaces and temples along the lake shore proudly display intricate Rajasthan architecture, dating back hundreds of years. The city comes to life at night, with families collecting at the Ghats to bath, socialize and pray.
We captured this photo from a rooftop restaurant, while enjoying a pot of sweet Chai with freshly prepared Roti and Vegetarian Biryani. As the sun began to set, the colour of the sky transformed from purple to bright orange, like a fire in the desert sky!
This fiery sunset and magical setting will forever be branded in our minds; it will be hard to top.

It seems that place is so peaceful, I really love watching sunset and sun rise cause this removes tiredness and stress in my life. I hope that one day I can take perfect photo shot like that soon. I have to admit I am really impressed.
