Photo of the Week: Victoria Inner Harbour at Night

Victoria Inner Harbour

Victoria Inner Harbour and BC Parliament Buildings

As one of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest, Victoria is easy on the eyes (especially at night). Victoria’s attractive Inner Harbour is located in the heart of the city centre and is home to its most recognized landmarks – the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel and the British Columbia Parliament Buildings (the building that’s lit up like a Christmas tree).

Everything is pretty much within walking distance to Victoria’s Inner Harbour. We took this photo the night after our successful whale watching trip with Prince of Whales. The lower seawall in the marina is full of street food vendors, entertaining buskers and merchants selling local arts and crafts.

Fun Fact: Many tourists mistakenly think that Vancouver is the capital of British Columbia, when in fact it’s Victoria.
