Inside the Temple at Angkor Wat, Cambodia
This week’s travel photo come’s from northwest Cambodia, where we captured the stunning architecture within the Angkor Wat temple complex.
Often considered to be an 8th Wonder of the World (at least according to some top travel bloggers), Angkor Wat has become synonymous with travel to Cambodia – much like the Eiffel Tour is to Paris and the Great Pyramids of Giza are to Egypt.
Although Angkor Wat gets most of the glory, the Angkor Temple Complex actually stretches over 75 square kilometres and includes hundreds of archaeological sites, abandoned cities and temple ruins. Here are some more of our favourite pictures from the Temples of Angkor in Cambodia.

This is the first photo I’ve seen at this angle and I love it.
Glad you like the photo Pamela!
I have never been to Cambodia and when I get there, I will visit this place too…
Angkor Wat should definitely be on your itinerary to Cambodia
I’m always impressed with photos of this temple.
Thanks Matthew! It’s quite the place. It’s certainly one of the most impressive archeological site on the planet.
I must have taken 500 photos during our time exploring the temples, but I would love to return and “redo” almost all of them!
We visited Angkor Wat last month and really enjoyed it. We only got a one day ticket and it was more than enough for us, but we loved the huge tree roots and stone carvings.
Awesome – glad you enjoyed it! We did the 3-day pass, which was perfect for us.
We had a “day off” in between. After 3 days of temple exploring we had our fill. After a while it gets a bit repetitive
Nice photos. I agree that Angkor Wat may be the most impressive single structure but by no means is most exciting or atmospheric. Rent a scooter, head out at dawn and discover all the other temples hidden in the jungle!
