Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics: A Photo Blog
Witnessing the excitement and energy of the 2010 World Cup from South Africa has us reflecting on how amazing it was to host the world during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
It was only a short four months ago that Vancouver was experiencing the party of a lifetime. When we watch the video footage of thousands of enthusiastic fans flooding the streets of Johannesburg, we can’t help but re-live those incredible moments on Granville and Robson in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
We have selected a few memorable photos to share our 2010 Winter Olympic experience.

The Winter Olympics was THE most exciting thing I’ve ever experienced in my life, and the city of Vancouver was the most gracious and hospitable place I’ve ever been.
Some of my favorite moments during my time there:
–Touching the Olympic medals (even though I had to wait SIX hours).
–Watching the US beat Canada in a dramatic game at a bar where we were the only Americans (and we didn’t get beat up!).
–Watching Teemu Selanne become the all-time Olympic points leader at a Finland vs. Germany hockey game.
–Meeting fellow Anaheim Ducks fans from around the world at numerous venues.
–Making new friends in all the long lines at the pavilions.
–Attending a US hockey game.
–Buying way too much Olympic memorabilia that is now sitting in my closet.
haha… thanks for the post Jetpacker! And thanks for sharing your great experience during the games. We were also blown away by how much fun those three weeks were!! Without question the most fun we’ve had in Vancouver.
Team USA did get us in the qualification… BUT, we managed to steal another gold at your expense on North American soil! Good times!
