Disclosure – We were invited by Royal Holiday to experience one of its premium resorts in the Dominican Republic. The Bavaro Princess Resort rests on the beautiful white sandy beaches of Punta Cana, located on the eastern most point of the Caribbean island.
Amazing shots! Must be a great place to see!
It was a great trip! 😉
Sure, it looks like a great trip, but I don’t understand why they left Canada. You can find places like this all over Canada.
Hmmm… tropical beaches in Canada? Not sure I follow.
It looks so relaxing! I miss the DR!
Indeed – It was very relaxing! We don’t normally do the all-inclusive thing but it was great to just unwind and kick up our feet. The Bavaro Princess Resort is pretty awesome too!
All looks fantastic! Most of all, it’s really colorful, I like it. Was it a blog press trip? Brillient! 🙂
Hey Juno – yes, it was a press trip courtesy of Royal Holiday. As the snow falls in Vancouver we’re missing the hot Caribean weather!
Great photos! Looks like you had a fabulous time– good food, beaches and ample drinks!
Thanks! Yes, we had a great time. There was never a shortage of food or drinks 😉
Gorgeous photos! And, now I’m hungry!!
Thanks! Me too 🙂
Love the photos! We love the DR, we lived their for six months in 2009 (my husband and our four kids). We lived in Las Galeras and then Sosúa, never got to Bavaro, but always heard how fabulous it was, now I can see that it is.
The food is sooooo good. I miss it.
I imagine its a completely different experience living there.
I’m curious what the locals think about the island’s mass tourism – good, bad, indifferent?
Hey, that blogRH group looks familiar! Haha. Awesome photos…my friend is having a destination wedding in DR next year, hopefully I can make it. 🙂
Yes! That BlogRH group is a bunch of trouble makers! 😉
We did a destination wedding in Mex, they are so much fun. Best way to do a wedding (in our biased opinion anyways). We’re waiting for one of our friends or fam to do the same so that we can join the party as guests!
These pics are amazing! Now I totally wanna go 🙂 Where the iguanas just out in the wild? Or in a zoo somewhere?
The iguanas were in a large cage in the resort. There was about 8 of them and they were HUGE. They could not get out.
Hello. Beautiful pictures. I was in DR recently as part of a cruise and it was a great experience. Although we did not stop on Punta Cana, but next time I will have to go there. Cheers
Thanks! Glad you liked the pictures Raghav.
These pictures bring back great memories of my trip to Punta Cana last summer. Bavaro beach is so gorgeous! It looks like you had a fantastic time and that massage looks to-die-for.
We had a great time! We’ll always remember that soft, silky beach sand… 🙂
Wonderful photos! The beach looks great and I really love the resort, how can we get there?
Love the iguana photo
Thanks! It worked out well 🙂
Looks like you guys had a great time. I was in Puna Cana last year too stayed at Majestic. I had a wonderful time. Beach was so beautiful and food was great too. I miss it.
We did indeed! Though we do like to travel around when visiting a new country, sometimes its just nice to lounge and not worry about a thing – this was one of those times! 🙂
Those parrots look like they were actually posing for that pic! Nice colors, nice shot.
The parrots had awesome showmanship! They would call out “Hola! Hola!” as people walked by. I think they see their fair share of flash photography every day
Punta cana is my next stop in DR. The last time I went the trip was a little to short and I left feeling as though I missed out on a lot. Thanks for the photos the Presidente brings back memories of my bartender Pedro. I didnt know we werent suppose to tip when I went but i guess its the reason he kept bring the drinks.
Wow – they are some amazing shots. I love the little shelters and the blue sky!
