iPhone Photo Essay – Summer in Vancouver
One of the things I love about the iPhone is its quality camera and the variety of photo apps available. We typically only bring out our good cameras when we are traveling, so it’s great having a decent camera on hand to capture the simple moments of ordinary life.
The memory is getting full and its almost time to clean up the files, so we thought it would be fun to share some iPhone photos from our summer in British Columbia.

I don’t know much about iPhone photography (I pretty much only know how to send text messages), but these photos are gorgeous! Maybe it’s time I brush up on my app skills!
We’ve been blown away by how great some of the iPhone photos have turned out. It’s really nice to be able to take decent pictures without having to carry our big cameras
Nicole & Cam… I LOVE this post. It looks like you guys had a great summer. I need to get back to VanCity.
Btw – great way to use all those photos you take with your phone. I always have so many random ones but never know how to make use them. I might just have to make one of these myself.
Thanks Brock – we’ve definitely made the most out of our limited summer in Vancouver! 😉
Beautiful photos, I especially love that one of English Bay. These just make me want to go back to Vancouver next summer.
Thanks Alouise! Vancouver would love to have you 😉
Wow! The pictures are just amazing! I can see a Holland America ship 😀
Thanks!
It really is amazing what you can do with the humble iPhone camera on its own – let alone when you add fantastic apps like Instagram and Hipstamatic.
Hard to believe it wasn’t so long ago that I was just impressed I could even *take* a photo on my phone :-p
It’s so true, isn’t it?!
The iPhone apps have taken photography to a whole new level
Great photos! Vancouver is so beautiful. It makes me want to go back, too. And it also makes me want to get more iPhone photo apps!
Thanks Shawna!
We like using Instagram and Hipstamatic the most, but there seems to be a new one added to the list each day 🙂
It’s so good that you can get out and appreciate the city! 😀 Perspective from travelling always makes the homecoming an interesting new discovery 🙂
And I never remember the name of the Burrard St Bridge.. maybe I will now.. but in my mind I always just think of it as the brewery bridge lol
It seems like Colombia is a perfect spot for family vacation, I really would like to go there soon. travelling with family will be memorable.
Great pics! I only got to explore Vancouver last summer for a few days, I still have so much to see! I will have to get some tips from you guys 🙂
Love it guys! I think you’ve inspired me to finally drive from the interior and check out Vancouver this summer 🙂
