Medieval Prague Castle at Sunset – Prague, Czech Republic
A few week’s ago, I was having trouble deciding what Prague travel photo I wanted to include in our weekly photo series. It was a toss up between this one and the one pictured above, so I thought I’d just post them both.
I love Prague’s medieval vibe. When you wander the Old Town, Charles Bridge and Prague Castle you can’t help but feel transported back in time, to a dark period where armored knights on black horses served powerful kings (okay, maybe I’ve been watching too many “Game of Thrones” episodes).
We captured this photo on a cold November evening after a full day of sightseeing. We wanted a photo with the sun setting behind the castle, so we walked along the river and snapped a few photos from various locations. Almost on queue, this man entered my frame in his little wooden row boat. He even looks like he’s wearing a grey hooded cloak that would have been worn during the medieval era. It was fantastic timing.
But I still scratch my head – who uses a wooden rowboat nowadays?!
