Seaside town of Parksville on Vancouver Island, British Columbia
As we sit here on the private balcony of our suite at the Tigh Na Mara seaside resort in Parksville, I can’t help but smile at our beautiful Pacific Northwest surroundings.
The tide is out, revealing a seemingly endless sand bar that spills into the Straight of Georgia. A gorgeous bald eagle lands beside a tide pool, feasting on its catch, a small fish I presume.
It’s quite. The ocean is calm. We can hear a playful group of sea lions barking in the distance. The evening air is crisp and rejuvenating, combining the distinct smells of ocean seaweed and smoky campfire.
It’s a perfect West Coast moment. A moment that reminds us just how lucky we are to be in such a fantastic part of the world.
We have several stories to tell, but for now, we thought we’d share a few photos we’ve captured so far. For more photos, check out our Instagram and Facebook pages. Hopefully these photos will inspire you to visit the Parksville-Qualicum Beach area on your next trip to British Columbia.
