Colourful Crab in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
Visitors to the Galapagos Islands are likely there to witness its unique wildlife, endemic species and isolated landscapes. We were no different.
One of the coolest creatures we saw on our trip to the Galapagos Islands was the colourful crabs, known as the “Red Rock Crab”. We captured this curious little guy on North Seymour Island, just as our zodiak touched land.
We’ve never seen a creature so vibrant and colourful! Have you?

Great pic and an interesting beast!!
Thanks Raul! 🙂
Very beautiful creature! It looks like a jewel 🙂
They are quite vibrant, aren’t they?
My fiance and I were in the Galapagos EXACTLY one year ago and snapped dozens of pictures of those lil dudes! It’s a great time to be there – lots of sea lion pups being born. Trip of a lifetime – hope you guys have the same experience.
(Oh, and we’re getting married next month at Victoria House in Belize so your posts about Ambergris Caye have been super helpful:)
Thanks!
Hi Mark – congrats on the upcoming nuptials!
You’re going to love Victoria House. The private beach is everything you think a Caribbean beach should be. Drop us a message when you return and let us know how it went!
Didn’t even know this existed! Wow, beautiful!
We hadn’t heard or them either before visiting. They’re pretty cool creatures
Well, he is simply wonderful!
Isn’t he? There are thousands of little guys just like him running across the rocks. It’s a magical place!
Wow, he’s amazing. So bright!
Indeed – the colour combo is so vibrant!

LOL. Not the first thing that comes to mind, but I can see it. 🙂
