Sightseeing in Paris, France
On our last trip to Paris we spent a few days wandering around the city snapping photos and admiring its beautiful architecture and popular sites, including the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc du Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Moulin Rouge and Sacré-Cœur Basilica (which offers some of the best views in Paris).
We lucked out with the weather, blue skies and perfect summer temperatures, so most of our exploring was by foot and stroller. Although Paris is not a baby friendly city, Baby B was a real trooper and actually napped in his stroller for the first time. Unfortunately that trend seems to have been left in Europe.
Here are a few photos from our day of sightseeing in Paris.

We love all of the outdoor restaurants; Baby B also loves the camera

hahaha —> “Every street in Paris seems to have a giant statue with a horse”. And, yeah what’s with that goat? I was just there for my first time last week, but I think I’ll have to go back to find some nice blue sunny skies like this :]
Yes, we have been to Paris in both summer and winter. Both are great times, but you can’t beat the great shots that happen with the sun!
Great photos in Paris! You had some nice weather too. Paris is a city that you could spend a long time exploring. Every time you go back you could find something new and another story to write. Great city!
Yes, us too! Definitely not the last time we will go to Paris.
Oh yeah! Had one of my best travel stories ever in Paris. Was there on my last day after spending a month in Europe. Was lonely, stopped in a McDonald’s, met a girl from Lebanon who hadn’t spoken English in years, and spent the rest of the day with her seeing parts of the city I could never see on my own.
Will never forget that experience in Paris!
That sounds like a great experience Jeremy.
Very nice shots, but have you visited the museums of Paris? Though I know the answer – it is very hard to do it with small (and not so small ) children, isn’t it? 🙂
We have been to some of the museums. It is a lot harder with a baby, so we will have to go back when Baby B is a little older.
Wow, what a great job capturing the classic beauty of Paris! And someday, Babby B is really going to appreciate having all these incredible memories.
We love staying in Le Marais when we’re in Paris. It really is a wonderful mixture of cultures and classes. You find very cool historic structures mixed in with great restaurants, shopping, bars and museums. And lots of great sidewalk cafes!
Can’t beat the sidewalk cafes in Paris! We love just sitting back and people watching.
Now I want to go back! Great photos guys – I am reminded of why I fell in love with Paris. We only had 4 days there but they were 4 very special days. I think we will go back later this year when we are in Europe again – Your post has ignited my ‘Paris Passion’ again!
Thank you! Hope you have a great trip.
Love the pics, except B in that darn Canucks shirt!!!
Hahaha! Once a nucks fan, always a nucks fan 😉
As a parent that travels with my daughter since she was 13 days old, it was refreshing to see other like-minded parents!
With blue skies Paris gets even more beautiful than it already is! I’m counting down to go back for a few days in July and so is my daughter… 3 years without going to Paris is too long!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Monique. Have a great trip!
Haha, why and how is there a goat?! We were just there as well and can’t wait to get back!
We think he’s for cutting the grass!
Beautiful photos! You had better luck than we did at Montmartre – we saved it for the last day of a 9 day visit and it was the one day of truly bad weather that we had. It was pouring down rain and we didn’t see much at all. We stopped for a photo at Moulin Rouge and then moved on quickly before my 8 year old started asking too many questions! Paris may be difficult with a baby but the good news is that it is very family-friendly once kids are a little bit older – my 8 year old daughter cried when it was time to leave!
Such great photos! I’m kind of surprised to hear that Paris isn’t baby friendly though.
These photos are amazing! My husband and I are planning a trip to Paris soon. I’m pouring over guidebooks and trying to pinpoint the can’t miss places. Did you make it to Pere Lachaise? I just read this guidebook http://www.perelachaisecemetery.com/ and now it’s definitely at the top of my list!
Beautiful photos! Baby B certainly got worn out Lol! it looks like you guys got great weather. Everytime I’m there it pours cats and dogs!
Wow, you guys had some great weather! I love the photo of the Eiffel Tower “the lady of steel” great shot.
Cheers!
Looks like Baby B is having a blast in Paris! Certainly knows how to hit the bucket list places in town!
