Photos of captured from my window seat
I was cleaning up the photos on my phone the other day and noticed I’ve snapped some pretty cool aerial photos over the past few months. I love it when the weather cooperates on a flight, especially when I have the window seat.
I’ve already shared some of these images on our Instagram and Facebook pages, but I thought I’d share a few of these window seat photos on the blog as well.
On our flight from Vancouver to Dublin a few months ago, we passed over Greenland and the Arctic. The views we witnessed on that flight were incredible! Take a look…
Massive glacier flowing into the Arctic Ocean.
Pure wilderness in Greenland. Not a road or sign of man anywhere.
Remote and isolated mountains in Greenland.
Clouds spilling into the mountain valley – somewhere in Greenland.
The endless Tundra. Somewhere in the Arctic in Northern Canada.
Thousands of icebergs floating in the Arctic. Somewhere between Greenland and Canada.
Forest fires burning in remote Northern Alberta.
Suburbs of Dublin, Ireland.

Somewhere in central Ireland, captured a few minutes after departing Dublin.
Coastal mountains in British Columbia. I think that’s the Fraser River in the backdrop.
Somewhere in central British Columbia. I think that’s the south end of Okanagan Lake?
Snow-capped Canadian Rockies – somewhere near Banff National Park.
Urban sprawl – Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Howe Sound and the North Shore Mountains.
Howe Sound and BC’s South Coast.

These are really great! I always choose a window seat – the views are always beautiful, and they are also a great distraction for me when I get anxiety from flying. It’s amazing how many people don’t take a moment to appreciate how impressive it is that we are flying thousands of feet in the air.. a window seat is a great reminder!
