Are you thinking about visiting a new tropical destination this winter? If so, have you considered the island of Curaçao?
Located in the Southern Caribbean, about 100 kilometers north of Venezuela, Curacao is the largest of the Netherland Antilles. It’s the ‘C’ in the trio of ABC islands.
The colourful European-style buildings in the above photo are found along the waterfront in the Old Town of Willemstad, the capital city and designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Curaçao is known for its smooth sandy beaches and world class scuba diving. Given its close proximity to Bonaire and Aruba, you can easily include multiple islands to your beach vacation.

Where to stay in Curaçao?
We stayed at the Lions Dive and Beach Resort and would recommend it. It’s not cheap, but it’s a nice hotel and the property is well maintained. Read our review here.
The hotel is located directly on the beach and within a walking distance to Mambo Beach, Curacao Sea Aquarium and Jan Thiel Lagoon. It’s about 5 km from Zuikertuin Mall and the Curacao Maritime Museum.
The resort offers free shuttle service to Willemstad. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the Lions Dive and Beach Resort to the old town center of Willemstad. Hotel info here.

Hi i live in Curaçao and i must say you capture a big part of what Curaçao has to offer. Altough there are alot more things than the beaches and hotel.
