Photos from our trip to Whistler, British Columbia
Ah, Whistler. Our happy place. Our home away from home.
We finally managed to organize a snowboarding trip to Whistler WITHOUT the kiddies. We were looooong overdue. We dropped the boys off at the grandparents house over Spring Break so we could have a little adult time.
It was so nice to spend some quality time together on the slopes followed by lots of eating and drinking. We enjoy the après ski experience as much as the actual ski experience. And the hot tub is an essential part of the equation too.
Here are a few photos from our recent snowboarding trip to Whistler.
Up we go! This is view from the Big Red chairlift.
Dropping into Symphony Amphitheater on the backside of Whistler Mountain.
Cruising down the groomers on a bluebird morning.
Top of the Gondola at the Roundhouse Lodge. Whistler Peak in the backdrop.
That’s Blackcomb Mountain across the valley. Here’s a trail map for your reference.
Nicole found her happy place.
Top of Symphony Express chairlift. Look at those snow blasted poles!

Whooohooo! Can’t believe this section was untouched! Big turns, soft powder.
It’s hard to miss Nicole in her brightly coloured Columbia gear.
This was the best run of the day. Just behind those trees was pure powder bliss.
Whiskey jacks entertained the crowds in the chair lift lines. Symphony Bowl.
Can you guess which way we went? If you guessed left, you win a prize!
Blazing our own trail. This was after lunch. We found fresh lines all day long!
Because you never know when you’ll need some cash.
Future bobsled Olympian? Or cheesy tourist looking for a photo opp?
Creekside Village. This is where Vancouver’s weekend warriors congregate.
Because the 2010 Winter Olympics were freakin’ awesome!

Spring Break vibes without the kids. The weather was sunny but cool.
